Industrial Services Built for Demanding Work

When equipment is critical, components are massive, and downtime costs money, you need more than a typical repair shop.

Electric Machine & Fab provides the machining, fabrication, welding, electromechanical repair, and equipment rebuilding capabilities required to tackle demanding industrial projects from start to finish.

With facilities in Williamson, West Virginia, and Sidney, Kentucky, EMF supports mining operations, manufacturers, processing facilities, utilities, contractors, and heavy industrial customers throughout the Appalachian region and across the United States.

Whether the job involves rebuilding a large industrial electric motor, restoring worn mining equipment, machining a replacement component, fabricating a massive steel assembly, or processing heavy steel plate, our goal remains the same:

Solve the problem. Build it right. Get it back to work.

Complete Industrial Capabilities Under One Roof

One of EMF's greatest strengths is the combination of capabilities available within one company.

Instead of coordinating a machine shop, fabrication company, welding contractor, equipment rebuilder, and electromechanical repair facility separately, customers can turn to EMF for an integrated industrial solution.

Electric Motor Repair & Rebuilding

Large industrial electric motors operate under extreme loads and demanding conditions. EMF provides inspection, troubleshooting, repair, machining, rebuilding, and related electromechanical services for industrial motors and rotating equipment.

Our Williamson facility has decades of experience supporting the heavy electric motor requirements of mining and industrial operations.

Industrial Machining & CNC Machining

When a component is worn, damaged, obsolete, or simply unavailable, machining can be the difference between replacing an entire piece of equipment and putting it back into service.

EMF provides industrial machining for equipment repairs, component restoration, shafts, bushings, replacement components, custom parts, and heavy industrial applications.

Our machining capabilities also work directly alongside our fabrication and rebuilding operations, allowing complex projects to move efficiently between departments.

Industrial Fabrication & Welding

EMF provides heavy-duty fabrication and welding for customers who need more than light commercial metalwork.

Our team works with industrial components, structural assemblies, equipment components, heavy steel, repair projects, and custom fabrication requirements for mining, manufacturing, construction, processing, utilities, and other industries.

From repairing an existing assembly to fabricating a new component from the ground up, we're equipped for serious industrial work.

Large-Format CNC Plasma & Plate Cutting

Some fabrication projects simply exceed the capabilities of a conventional cutting table.

At our Sidney, Kentucky facility, EMF operates a large-format Messer CNC cutting system featuring a 10-foot by 30-foot cutting table, providing substantial capacity for processing oversized steel plate and producing large industrial components.

For appropriate materials and applications, EMF has the capability to process heavy plate in the 8- to 10-inch thickness range.

Combined with our machining, welding, and fabrication capabilities, large-format cutting allows EMF to take a project beyond raw plate and deliver a finished industrial component or assembly.

Mining Equipment Repair & Rebuilding

Mining equipment takes punishment few other machines experience.

EMF provides comprehensive repair and rebuilding capabilities for underground and surface mining equipment, longwall mining components, buckets, scoops, heavy equipment components, structural assemblies, wear components, and other critical mining machinery.

Depending on the equipment and condition, our work may involve:

  • Structural repair
  • Heavy welding
  • Resurfacing and rebuilding worn areas
  • Machining
  • Component replacement
  • Custom fabrication
  • Wear-resistant material installation
  • Finishing and industrial painting

Rather than simply replacing expensive equipment or components, EMF can often repair, rebuild, reinforce, or reproduce what is needed to return that equipment to productive service.

Heavy Equipment & Component Rebuilding

Our rebuilding expertise isn't limited to mining.

EMF works with worn and damaged heavy equipment components used throughout construction, manufacturing, processing, material handling, utilities, and other industrial environments.

We combine fabrication, welding, machining, and repair capabilities to restore components that may otherwise be costly or difficult to replace.

Power Transmission & Electromechanical Repair

Industrial operations depend on more than motors alone.

EMF provides repair and rebuilding capabilities for electromechanical and power transmission components used in demanding industrial applications.

By combining mechanical repair, machining, fabrication, and electrical expertise, our team can address problems that often cross the boundaries of a conventional machine shop or motor repair facility.

Engineering, Analysis & Reverse Engineering

Sometimes the hardest part of an industrial repair isn't making the component—it's determining exactly what needs to be made.

When replacement parts are obsolete, unavailable, or have excessive lead times, EMF can evaluate existing components and help develop practical solutions for repair or replacement.

Our capabilities support component analysis, reverse engineering, repair planning, replacement part development, and custom industrial solutions.

When necessary, we can take an existing component and work backward from what remains to help create what the equipment needs.

From Damaged Equipment to Finished Product

The real advantage of EMF isn't any single machine or department.

It's what happens when all of those capabilities work together.

A damaged component can come into our facility for inspection, move into machining or fabrication, receive structural and welding repairs, have replacement components manufactured, undergo finishing, and leave ready to return to service.

For customers, that means fewer vendors, fewer handoffs, and one industrial partner responsible for getting the job done.

Two Facilities. Expanded Capabilities.

EMF operates two industrial facilities strategically located in the heart of Appalachia.

Williamson, West Virginia

Our Williamson facility provides extensive electric motor repair, electromechanical services, industrial machining, equipment rebuilding, and related repair capabilities.

Sidney, Kentucky

Our Sidney facility serves as a major center for heavy industrial fabrication, welding, machining, mining equipment rebuilding, heavy equipment repair, and large-format CNC plate cutting.

Together, the two facilities give EMF the equipment, space, and expertise to take on projects ranging from individual components to substantial industrial rebuilds and fabrications.

Serving Industry Throughout the Region and Nationwide

From our facilities in West Virginia and Kentucky, EMF is positioned to serve industrial customers throughout West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and beyond.

But our capabilities aren't limited by state lines.

Industrial equipment, components, and fabricated products can be transported and shipped, allowing EMF to work with customers throughout the United States.

Bring Us the Tough Jobs

Some jobs don't fit neatly into a category.

That's exactly where EMF's combination of machining, fabrication, welding, motor repair, engineering, heavy equipment rebuilding, and large-scale processing capabilities becomes especially valuable.

If it's worn out, damaged, difficult to replace, oversized, or needs to be built from scratch, talk to Electric Machine & Fab.
